Thank you to Butler Intermediate High School for hosting the Butler County Manufacturing Consortium’s 2025 Manufacturing Day! Today’s event was jam-packed with manufacturing awareness for 8th grade students in Butler County. In addition to the Butler Area School District, Ryan Gloyer Middle School and Knoch Middle School students traveled to participate in the Manufacturing Showcase event. Students, teachers, and employers alike had a fun-filled day discussing the manufacturing industry, discussing what their companies manufacturer, and the types of opportunities available in the area.
The morning began with the Student Advisory Board panel. Students from Butler (Luke Frazer and Blake Boulanger), Knoch (Brooke Bastin and Alex Maliszewski), and Moniteau (Kurt Gindhart and Brianna Sproul) School Districts discussed their thoughts from four facility tours of JSP, Cygnus Manufacturing, Oberg, and Butler Technologies. Employers submitted questions to gain student perspective of their tours, the manufacturing industry, and the workforce.
The 8th grade students were then broken into groups to walk through the showcase. 16 employers participated in this year’s event, allowing for students to hear from a variety of different types of manufacturers. Thank you to the following companies that participated this year:
