PA Way To Work

The PA Way to Work program is a commonwealth initiative providing jobs to Pennsylvanians who are currently looking for work in a difficult economy. Through Pennsylvania Way to Work, the departments of Labor & Industry and Public Welfare will use federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF, Emergency funds available through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to provide an estimated 20,000 employment opportunities for youth and adults through Sept. 30, 2010.The PA Way to Work program is a commonwealth initiative providing jobs to Pennsylvanians who are currently looking for work in a difficult economy. The initiative will subsidize 100 percent of the gross employee wages for adults and youth. Employers include for-profit, not-for-profit and public sector organizations. Locally, the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board is administering the program.
